Why logs need AI now
Search was a good interface when a service fit in one file. It is a weak interface when a deploy fans out across fifty repos and four clouds.
Teams did not suddenly become worse at reading. The stream became faster than a person. Cardinality exploded. Templates mutated every release. The old playbook — grep, dashboard, hope — now burns the first twenty minutes of an incident.
Three pressures
- Volume outgrew human scan rate.
- Structure is uneven: JSON here, a stack dump there.
- The cost of being late is higher than the cost of a model.
AI is not a prettier tail. It is a compression step. LogAI treats that compression as the product: a sentence, a timeline, and the evidence that can survive a postmortem.
